June Lake, CA

Back in the mid-60s, my mom and dad and my brother Keith and I vacationed at June Lake in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California for a week. I remember we stayed in a cabin across the street from the lake in the little town of June Lake, CA.

Hot Air Balloon Over Saugus, CA

Back in the 1990's when Ben and I first moved to the Santa Clarita Valley, there used to be a hot air balloon company that offered rides over the valley on the weekends. Saw this one floating over Saugus, CA near the old Saugus Speedway.

Grizzly Bluff

This photo was taken back in 1998 with my Kodak Disk digital camera. It actually used floppy disks to record the photos. Ben and I were driving along Grizzly Bluff which is between Rio Dell, CA and Ferndale, CA. The scenery in this area is beautiful.

The Grand Canyon

This was taken on my first trip to the Grand Canyon in 1972. My best friend from high school (Trisha) went with me. We spent about a week in Arizona. Took this shot with an old Brownie camera.

The Eel River

This is the Eel River in Humboldt County, CA. It runs along U.S Hwy. 101 and The Avenue Of The Giants. It is my favorite place in the whole world. Ben and I used to go up to Northern California every year and explore the back roads.

Fisherman's Memorial

This is the Fisherman's Memorial on Woodley Island in Eureka, CA. This is a beautiful spot to visit, especially early in the morning. You will see all kinds of sea birds and sea lions in the marina.

Fernbridge

Viewing the Fernbridge from Highway 101 near Fortuna, CA. This bridge crossed the Eel River and leads you to the town of Ferndale, CA which was Ben's and my favorite place in the whole world.
