This is a picture of the Coast Guard Station on Humboldt Bay near Eureka, CA. I would see this building from a distance when we'd be driving along Hwy. 101, so one day I told Ben I wanted to get closer to it so I could take a photo. This was as close as we could get.
It is a very nice lighthouse. It seems big but I bet it was used for more than sending out light at night.
